AddShield™ High-Barrier Compounds
Product Description
AddShield™ is a specially modified barrier compound engineered to block moisture and oxygen in flexible packaging. Incorporated during the melt phase of the extrusion process, it is designed for use in blown film, cast film, MDO PE, and lamination applications. When added at 10% in the core layer of a mono-material PE structure, it delivers up to 90% improvement in moisture vapor transmission rate (MVTR) and up to 50% improvement in oxygen barrier performance — extending shelf life and preserving freshness across food, pharmaceutical, and industrial packaging segments.
